FAQ

What is your approach?

I want you to look at your photos and see yourselves in them. Your true selves. People are different; they love differently, they laugh differently. I love knowing that your wedding is going to be completely different from the one I shot the week before. I enjoy being a quiet observer and letting the day unfold as it should. I will never have you re-enact a moment. I'm there to get all of the organic and quirky moments as they happen: your mom tearing up as you walk down the aisle, your brother ripping his pants on the dance floor, the rainy day that you didn't want but decided to embrace anyway. Your day is so different from anyone else's and I put a lot of care into telling that story.

how do we book you for our date?

A $1500 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract are required to book your date. The remaining balance is due 1 month before your wedding. I accept either a check or online payment through Venmo.

Do you do payment plans?

Yes! I know that if I were about to spend a big sum of money, I would feel much better doing it in smaller payments over time, which is why I'm offering it to you as well. It's pretty simple...I require the $1500 down payment up front, but the remaining balance would be divided by the remaining months left until your wedding. If this is something you're interested in, please let me know and I'd be happy to give you an estimated monthly cost and more information.

How will we get our photos?

Every wedding package includes an online gallery so you can view, download, order prints, and share your photos easily with your friends and family. The photos available to download will be ready-to-print, high-resolution photos. You're welcome to print any of the photos as you'd like and will be given a print release to do so. And feel free to post your photos on social media, I encourage it!

Do i need a second photographer?

I am very comfortable shooting a wedding alone, and I actually prefer it, but there are definitely some circumstances where you'd need one. I recommend a second shooter if you are having more than 200 guests. This is because I focus a lot on candid photos and with that many people attending your wedding, it's hard to cover all of the guests without another photographer there. Also, if you aren't seeing each other before the ceremony, a second photographer is great to have during cocktail hour. If you aren't doing a first look, we would be doing portraits during cocktail hour, which means there would be no coverage of that time.

Who do you hire as a second photographer if we want one?

I only hire people I've worked with in the past and trust. I make sure they shoot in the same documentary, candid style that I do. The people that I hire are on the same level as me and most run their own full time photography businesses as well. I have a handful of people that I ask to second shoot with me and it just depends on who is available for your date.

How many photos will we get?

About 75-100 photos per hour of coverage.

How long will it take to get our photos back?

The photos will be delivered to you no later than 2 months from the wedding date. That being said, I always try to get photos delivered as soon as possible!

Do you offer wedding albums or prints?

Yes! I feel like you shouldn't have to make decisions about albums or prints until the wedding is over. I offer both albums and prints and will send you more information on both of those once the photos are delivered. If you'd like to have an estimated cost before hand, albums start at $800 for an 8x8 album with 10 spreads and additional upgrades are available.

Do you have insurance?

Yes and I'm happy to provide a copy to any vendor that requires it.

Do you backup your photos?

Yes! It's super important to me that your photos are backed up. Technology is always unpredictable, so I like to have your photos in 2-3 different places.

Will you help us if we need help planning the schedule of the day?

Definitely! I actually have a whole client portal with a ton of important information for you. This includes wedding scheduling, vendors I recommend, how you can prepare for the best wedding day, and a lot more. Once you book, I send over the link to the client portal and you'll be able to access all of that information whenever you need!

What if we are super awkward in front of the camera?

I get it, I hate having my photo taken. It definitely feels super awkward. But I try to make it as comfortable as possible for you both. I direct a lot and always have you moving and playing around with each other. Having something to do definitely takes your mind off of a camera in your face. During the wedding day, I am mostly in the background capturing things as they happen so you will probably hardly even notice I'm there. I promise, after the first 10 minutes of feeling awkward, you will have fun and it'll be painless!
