In the second, she makes peace signs with both hands. In the third, she laughs with her eyes closed. In the fourth, she holds her hands up to her eyes as if framing them like glasses.

Hello, I’m Amanda!

I’m based in West Michigan where my life mostly revolves around taking long walks around my neighborhood with my dog, Louie. When I’m not shooting weddings, you can find me floating in the lake with a good fantasy book.

I’m a little introverted and really love my alone time, but I’m also always down for a night out with a friend and an espresso martini.

At weddings, I’m not the loud hype-person type. I’m quiet, calm, and paying attention. I love what I do and care about my couples. I’m genuinely excited for them as they start this next chapter. If we end up working together, there’s a decent chance you’ll catch me tearing up during the toasts.

P.s. I'll always be excited if your dog is invited to your wedding.

“Amanda was just a joy to have around on wedding day. She is genuine, comforting, professional, and fun. During a couple of moments when I was unsure of next steps or how to manage time, she gracefully offered some suggestions that kept us on track. I felt like I had known her forever.”

My Approach

I’m naturally a quiet observer. I love picking up on all of the little moments happening on a wedding day, even ones you don’t notice in real time. That’s what draws me to weddings. There’s always something honest and emotional happening when you’re paying attention.

My goal is to be a calm presence, blend in with your guests, and keep your day feeling easy. I’ll give direction when you need it, but most of the time I’m letting things unfold naturally so your photos feel like your day and not something staged. I want you to look back at your photos and remember exactly what it felt like to be there.
