Aubrey and Zach celebrated their marriage with an intimate gathering at Johnson Park in Grand Rapids. After officially getting married a few months earlier in Palm Springs, they wanted a relaxed, low-key day with family and friends to celebrate. No ceremony, no timeline. Just good food, dancing, and time together. Shooting this day entirely on film felt especially meaningful to me, not only because of how much I love the photos, but because this was my sister’s wedding. I was there fully as a guest while also getting to document the day from the inside, photographing it the way it actually felt to be there, which is a perspective I rarely get to experience.
