KATE + DEDE /// HEADLANDS CENTER FOR THE ARTS /// SAN FRANCISCO, CA WEDDING

kate + dede's day was the frickin best. starting the day off with grilled cheese and polaroids to their first look in a stairwell and toasting with champagne. their day was so chill and so perfectly them. they were surrounded by their badass crew dressed in all black. their ceremony had everyone in the room tearing up, even me. the cocktail hour was full of deep belly laughs in the photo booth bus and eating delicious squash blossoms. my favorite part of a wedding day is typically the toasts and their toasts were some of the funniest i've ever heard. i've never seen someone laugh as hard as kate hearing her brother give that toast. the night ended with the sweetest father/daughter dance in which they switched halfway through to dance with the others' dad. kate and dede are some of the sweetest and funniest people you'll ever meet. i'm so glad to know them and to be there for this day.

AMRINE + BRYAN /// LELAND, MICHIGAN WEDDING /// LEELANAU PENINSULA

amrine + bryan.
married on the river in northern michigan.
walking through the fish town.
neighboring kayakers paddling up for a visit.
the funniest toast i've ever heard and the hardest laughing i've ever seen.
these two are kind, welcoming, hilarious, and their families are the same way.
what an honor to be welcomed into this day.

leland, mi.

NASHVILLE, TN /// NEW ORLEANS, LA /// MARFA, TX /// ROADTRIP

this past march, my and my sister, aubrey, drove from michigan to california and took the very long scenic route. a drive that typically takes us 3 days, we stretched to 5 days and planned to stop in nashville, new orleans, austin, and marfa. we only had a few hours in each city before we had to start driving again, but it was such a magical little trip. nashville in the rain was perfect. riding bikes through the streets of new orleans was a highlight. we met up and thrifted with our friend, alexis, in austin. and we finished up an amazing trip by catching the sunset in marfa. for anyone interested in our city recommendations, here's a little list:
